The Casino at Boreal Nest

Our on-site casino offers an elegant evening experience for hotel guests and visitors alike. It sits on the lower level of the hotel, directly accessible from the lobby, in a room that keeps the heritage character of the building — high ceilings, warm lighting and a bar along the far wall.

The casino is open daily from 6:00 PM until 2:00 AM. Entry is available to guests and visitors aged 19 and over with valid government-issued photo identification. ID is checked at the door, without exception, in line with Ontario law and the rules of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.

On the gaming floor

The floor features modern slot machines with a wide range of stakes, alongside classic table games run by our own croupiers:

• Blackjack — several tables, minimum stakes from $10
• Roulette — single-zero European roulette
• Poker — Texas Hold’em cash tables, with a tournament every Friday evening
• Baccarat — punto banco, opening at 8:00 PM
• Slot machines — reel and video slots, all payouts settled at the cash desk

All play is in Canadian dollars. Chips are purchased at the tables or at the cash desk and exchanged back to cash before you leave. A smart casual dress code applies: no sportswear, beachwear or work boots.

The lounge bar

The bar beside the gaming floor serves cocktails, Ontario craft beer and a short wine list until closing, along with a small late-night menu. It is open to anyone aged 19 and over, whether or not you are playing, and it is a quiet place to sit if you simply want to end the evening with a drink.

Responsible gambling

We are committed to responsible gambling. Gambling should stay entertainment, and never a way to make money or to solve a financial problem. Our staff are trained to recognise the signs of problem gambling and to step in discreetly when it is needed.
